Imported the CA under the wrong certificate type -
Description
In TPAM 2.5.916 PSM sessions are handled by the locally installed Java Web Start application, not the browser. Java has to trust the certificates and or the JRE on the workstations will need tp been configured to trust the Certificate Authority that issued the certificates.The Java that is installed on a workstations isn't trusting the SSL certificate that the certificate authority issued. received error message: ""The certificate authority that issued this certificate is not trusted"" -
Cause
Imported the CA under the wrong certificate type in the Java Config console. -
Resolution
Imported the CA under the wrong certificate type1. Open java control panel on the desktop2. Select the Security tab
3. Manage certificates button- It defaults to trusted certificates and user tab correct- that's typically just for SSL certificates for web servers or applets, etc- what java needed was to trust the certificate authority that issued the certificates
4. Change type to secure site CA- CA being Certificate Authority- Import the CA into that location -
