Error message in the Password Manager event viewer: "no SMTP servers have been configured for notification..." -
Description
The following error appears in the Password Manager event viewer: "no SMTP servers have been configured for notification. Please review your notification settings." even though SMTP has been configured and is successfully working. -
Cause
This is the same generic message in event viewer if NO SMTP servers are configured OR if NO DataBase connections have been configured.
This is a product defect: 367427

Resolution
WORKAROUND:
If there are not reporting database connections configured please configure the connections within the PMAdmin site | general settings | Reporting (please see SOL4219044 for detailed instructions on configuring reporting)
STATUS:
Waiting for a fix in a future release of Password Manager
