Workflow scoped to an Organizational Unit is not triggered when initiated from a Managed Unit -
Description
Any triggered Workflow (such as an Approval Workflow) which has its Initiator Conditions set to only be triggered when an operation is performed on a specific container within Active Directory, is not triggered when the operation is performed on a Managed Unit which includes that object in its scope. -
Cause
This is by design. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND 1
In the Initiator Conditions of the Workflow, specify the Active Directory Container as well as any Managed Units from which it should be triggered.
WORKAROUND 2
Set a Filtering Condition on the Workflow trigger so that the edsvaParentDN of the Workflow target equals the DN of a fixed object within Active Directory.
