How to install this hotfixTo install the update:1. Copy the supplied file Defender-5.9.1-SOL235349.exe.rename to the computer running Defender.
2. Remove the .rename file name extension.
3. Run the file Defender-5.9.1-SOL235349.exe and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the hotfix installation.
How to determine if this hotfix is installedTo determine if the update is installed:1. On the computer running Defender Desktop Login, open the list of installed programs and updates (appwiz.cpl).
2. Under
Tasks, click
View installed updates.
3. Inspect the list of installed programs and updates. When this hotfix is installed, the following item is present in the list:
Defender Hotfix: SOL235349 under
Defender 5.9.1.
How to remove this hotfixTo remove the update:1. On the computer running Defender Desktop Login, open the list of installed programs and updates (appwiz.cpl).
2. Under
Tasks, click
View installed updates.
3 In the list of installed programs and updates, click to select the hotfix entry
Defender Hotfix: SOL235349, and then click
Uninstall.
