In a setup with multiple STS servers if one is removed, will connections drop? -
Description
For example if you have 2 STS servers and 4 Proxy servers and need to remove one of the STS servers for any reason, will users have to re-authenticate/lose connection or will they just be directed to the other STS when one is brought down and never know the difference? -
Resolution
Removing an STS definitely has the potential to cause users to lose their session.
The users might not lose an existing session but anything that wants to validate where the user is would likely result in a login request.You can remove the STS from the CAM set-up by going into the fallback admin and clicking on the status.Next to the STS that is down should be a trash can which will remove that STS from the CAM setup.
