How to clear out the Quest Authentication Services (QAS) cache.
Description
You are running in workstation mode and want the users and/or group cache to be empty.
Resolution
To remove the users from the cache run the following command:
1. vastool flush
Additional Information
This behavior changed in the 2.6 line, previous to the change vastool flush in workstation mode would clear out all users, and only load groups (no memberships since no users cached).
The behaviour was changed to re-populate any users already in the cache. This is so if sudo is being used to run the flush, the user doesn't disappear out of the cache and subsequent sudo commands fail.
Your Request will be reviewed by our technical reviewer team and, if approved, will be added as a Topic in our Knowledgebase.
