When configuring the Audit Database through the WGSRVConfig wizard, the settings options for Microsoft SQL does not provide a field to specify an alternate port. Is this supported, or does it only function with the default 1433 port?
By default it will attempt to use port 1433, however, it is possible to specify an alternate port. Since there is no alternate port field, you must include it with the server name.
The process would be as follows:
- On the Connection tab, under "Select or enter a server name" click the drop down to select your server, or type in the server address.
- After the server name type a comma and then specify the alternate port you wish to use.
Example: SQLServerName, 1749
- Then enter the credentials and select the database as normal.
- Click the Test Connection button to confirm that everything is working.
