How to setup Certificate authentication for Safeguard users -
Resolution
1. Add the CA certificate and any intermediates certificates into the Trusted Certificates in SafeguardFrom Admin Tools | Settings | Certificates | Trusted Certificates | Add Certificate
2. Within Safeguard Create a certificate user
From Admin Tools | Users, create a user with Authentication Provider set to "Certificate". Enter the SHA-1 thumbprint of the users certificate.
4. From the users workstationEnsure you have the Users certificate installed, and anyCA/intermediate certs installed. Ensure the Certification Path shows the complete chain is valid. the certificate has a private key.
When logging onto Safeguard select the "Use Smart Card/Certificate Authentication" option. Safeguard will then prompt for the users certificate to be confirmed.
