The Identity Manager (OneIM) documentation explains the use of local cache as follows:
"Some connectors support the use of local cache. If cache is enabled, the connector loads all the necessary data into a local database after the connection has been established with the target system. The data is loaded for each schema type. The data required for synchronization are then supplied by the local database."
Please refer to the Target System Synchronization Reference Guide for more information.
However, there aren't any instructions on how to enable or disable the local cache using the Synchronization Editor front-end.
To configure Local Cache (enable/disable) using Synchronization Editor, first activate Database | Settings... | General (tab) | General (group) | "Enable expert mode" as below:
After enabling expert mode, edit the target system connection at Configuration | Target System | Edit Connection... as shown below:
In the target system connection wizard, click "Next" until the "Local Cache" page and toggle "Use Local Cache" as required.
Click "Next" and complete the wizard. Then commit the change to database.
