When attempting to any object with Microsoft Exchange properties, or when attempting to perform any Microsoft Exchange operation, the Active Roles Console or Active Roles Web Interface hangs for a short period of time, and then the operation fails.
Verbose logging of the Active Roles Administration Service shows the following error message:

The Active Roles service account or proxy account used to connect to this domain does not have the requisite Microsoft Exchange Management Roles assigned.
