Kerberos Authentication Failure when setting the Exchange Connector to "Use SSL" -
Description
When setting up Exchange 2016 connector and selecting the checkbox marked "Use SSL", the connection fails and displays the following error in the Synchronization Editor:
"Connecting to remote server <Exchange server name> failed with the following error message: Error occurred during the Kerberos response"
The complete error may appear as:
"The running command stopped because the preference variable "ErrorActionPreference" or common parameter is set to Stop: [server.domain.com] Connecting to remote server exchangeserver.domain.com failed with the following error message : Error occurred during the Kerberos reponse." (Note: the typo is from the Exchange side). -
Cause
Product defect 32362. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
None
STATUS
Waiting for a fix in a future release of Identity Manager. If affected by this issue please contact Support to have a hotfix provided for defect number 32362. -
