HOW TO: Manually Extend the schema of the Service Now connector in the Active Roles Synchronization Service -
Description
The Service Now connector included in the Active Roles Synchronization Service has a default schema which should meet most needs. In some circumstances, a custom attribute may have been added to Service Now which is desired in the Active Roles Synchronization Service.
The Active Roles Synchronization Service console has an option to Update Schema builtin, but this may take an extremely long time in some environments.

Cause
Any custom attributes in Service Now can be added to the Active Roles Synchronization Service connector by manually editing the default Service Now schema. -
Resolution
- Using a text editor, open the ServiceNowTablesScheme.xml located here by default:
C:\Program Files\One Identity\Active Roles\7.4\SyncServiceNOTE: Create a copy of this default file and save it to a known location.- Find the section which references the desired object class. For example, user objects are referenced in the following section:
<table name="sys_user" label="User">- Add a new field entry for the custom attribute. Model it off of an existing field entry. For example, a new Boolean attribute could be modeled after the existing VIP attribute:
