Description

Some customers may need to filter out cloud-only groups from the Azure Connector in the Active Roles Synchronization Service Azure BackSync. By default, the Azure Connector will see all groups, on-prem and cloud.
Cause

This can be accomplished by filtering on the onPremisesSamAccountName attribute. Cloud-only groups will not have a value in this attribute.
Resolution

A filter similar to the following can be set at the Connector or Workflow level:
