Description
Logins fail on systems where there are a large number of local user authentications using passwordless loginPerformance issue identified on systems where a large number of local users login using a passwordless method such as ssh keys.
This can result in all logins eventually failing.
Run the following command to check the number of connections currently open by the vasd process:
netstat -an 2>/dev/null | grep '\.vasd' | wc -l |awk '{print $1}'
If the result is greater than 200, and you have a large number of local user accounts performing a passwordless login, then you are likely to be experiencing this issue.

WORKAROUND:
If logins start to fail then restart the vasd process:
/opt/quest/bin/vastool daemon restart vasd

Issue fixed in version 5.0.3.
