What operating system files are changed when QAS is installed?
This article is to describe what operating system files are changed by Authentication Services when the /opt/quest/bin/vastool join command is ran.
No changes to the operating system (OS) configuration are made when you install QAS. The OS files changed at join time are listed below by operating system:
Linux:

/etc/pam.d/password-auth (Red Hat and Centos v6)
/etc/pam.d/common-* (Suse)

Solaris:

/var/spool/sockets/pwgr (This directory is removed)
