How to gather logging for the Active Roles Microsoft Management Console (4216237)

How to gather the debug log file for the Active Roles Microsoft Management Console (MMC).

Console logging can be enabled in the registry or in the Console itself.

To enable in the console:

1. Select Active Roles or Quest One ActiveRoles Server at the root and expand Diagnostics.
2. Select View or change Diagnostic settings
3. On the Diagnostics tab, enable the Console diagnostics in the bottom section.

To enable in the registry:

1. Close all the running instances of the Active Roles MMC
2. Open the registry editor and navigate to:

• HKLM\SOFTWARE\One Identity\Active Roles\Configuration\Console

         3.Locate or create the 32-bit DWORD value named Debug and set it's value to 1

         4.Open the Active Roles MMC and reproduce the issue

         5.Set Debug back to 0 to disable logging

         6.Collect the resulting log file. The file location is defined by the following registry key

• C:\ProgramData\One Identity\Active Roles\Logs\Console\Console.log
