On the 'Volume Mappings' tab when selecting the menu item "Actions | Import Volume Mappings" and selecting a CSV file to import the Volume mappings, upon running the File Migration, the following error appears in the Date Time Stamp, File Migration.log file:
"Error * [13:34:04:311] Novell Scanner cannot connect to server; error message: Novell Exception "Cannot open connection to server NDS://NDS_ServerName", Error code: 8884"
This problem occurs when the format for the CSV file used for the file migration is incorrect.
The Quest NDS Migrator User Guide INCORRECTLY states on page 72 that the proper format for the CSV file for the file migration ('Volume Mappings' tab) is the following:
"NDS://server_name\volume source path","\\target server_name\target share path",t
WORKAROUND
Use the following format for the CSV file:
"NDS://NDS_ForestName\\server_name\volume source path","\\target server_name\target share path",t
