The Safeguard Authentication Services Unix Account tab is not appearing when viewing User account properties in the Active Roles console.
The tab appears in Active Directory Users and Computers.
Both the Safeguard Authentication Services (SAS) Control Center, and the latest Safeguard Authentication Services Active Roles Integration Pack are installed.
The Unix tabs are appearing in the Active Roles Web Interface.
The Unix tab within ARS is not part of the SAS Support Pack, but a part of the SAS client that is also installed. The Display Specifiers for Active Roles Server need to be installed.
Logon onto the Active Roles server as a user with Enterprise Admin rights where SAS is installed.
Note: Any account without Enterprise Admin rights will not work.
Do the following:
1. Open a Command Prompt as Administrator and change directory to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Quest Software\Authentication Services
2. Run the following command:
DsReg.vbs /add /provider:LDAP
3. Then run the following command:
DsReg.vbs /add /provider:EDMS
4. On the Active Roles server, restart the Active Roles service for the changes to take effect.
Enterprise Admin rights are required as the Display Specifiers are stored with the Active Directory (AD) Configuration. Display Specifiers are not schema updates and the process is reversible. This process only needs to be performed once within the AD forest. Please note that when installing the specific options for ARS, it must be done as an Active Roles Administrator.
