Office 365 License assignment may show policy violation for the license "Microsoft Search" -
Description
When an Azure user gets created, the license assignment automatically includes Microsoft Search in addition to any selected and applied license.This may result in a Policy violation showing that Microsoft Search is not part of the policy. -
Cause
By design. -
Resolution
Microsoft automatically adds Microsoft Search license on the backend when a user is created and a license applied.
If you encounter a Policy Violation message/error, modify the user and remove the Microsoft Search license.
