Description
Password Sync fails with Event ID 10206 and you see the following error:
Error details: An error has occurred while connector was processing password sync request. Details: An error occurred while modifying the object 'Problem User'
The RPC server is unavailable. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x800706BA)" -
Cause
This can be caused by configuring your target Active Directory Connection to use a specific domain controller and setting an IP address. -
Resolution
Instead of using an IP address, use an FQDN for the domain controller. If the domain controller is in a different DNS domain, you may need to modify your HOSTS file on the server to point the FQDN to the domain controller's IP address. -
