Is it possible to restore a TPAM backup done at a different version?
Description
Is it possible to restore a backup done at a different TPAM version? ie. Can a 2.5.915 backup be restored to a 2.5.914 box? Or can a 2.5.914 backup be restored to 2.5.915?
Resolution
No. Restores must be done at the same version level. If this is attempted the restore will fail with the following error:
"ERROR: Unexpected exception restoring backup: Version mismatch (got version <BACKUPVERSION> backup, but this console's version is <VERSION>)"
