Description
FAILURE: 218 The misc cache is missing the computerName setting for this machine.

Cause
If the misc cache is missing one or more settings for a given machine it is possible the original join that was performed did not complete properly.

Resolution
A rejoin should be conducted to populate the misc cache settings properly. The rejoin should include the -f option which will use the existing computer object in AD.
You can find the original join command in this file.
/etc/opt/quest/vas/lastjoinIf rejoining does not resolve this issue please collect a snapshot with this command.
/opt/quest/libexec/vas/scripts/vas_snapshot.sh
It will create a file in /tmp that can sent to support, at this point in time a support case should be opened.As well join debug would be beneficial with a command similar to this.
/opt/quest/bin/vastool -d5 -u username join domain 2>&1 |tee -a /tmp/joindebug.outPlease attach these two files to the case.
