The Parmaster account is the original sys-admin account and is required for performing advanced tasks on the appliance, including adding more sys-admin accounts.
If the password has been forgotten what methods are there for retrieval?
RESOLUTION 1:
If another account has sys-admin privileges they can log into the /admin interface and reset the parmaster password.
RESOLUTION 2:
If a CLI administrator account was created that can be used to reset the password. The command might look like this.
ssh -i [keyfile] [userid]@[PAR-address] changeadminpassword parmaster
RESOLUTION 3:
In TPAM 2.5.x there is option to reset the parmaster password via the Kiosk console. The user needs to connect directly to the appliance (or via DRAC.)
Refer to the KB article, What is the process to reset the password for parmaster in 2.5 using the Kiosk?
