Encountered Putty Fatal Error: Server sent disconnect message type 2 (protocol error): "Too many authentication failures for <account name>"
This error happens when initiating a remote ssh session via PuTTY 0.61 to a DPA or Cache Server during the initial configuration.
1. Edit your PuTTY configuration
2. At the following location,
PuTTY Configuration | Connection | SSH | Auth | GSSAPI |
3. Uncheck the following option
"Attempt GSSAPI authentication (SSH-2 only)"
4. Save this configuration profile and reinitate the connection to the DPA or Cache Server
