What happens if there is an incorrect or non-existent parameter set in /etc/opt/quest/vas/vas.conf?
For example, if an option that is only available in 4.0.2 is setup in Group Policy and rolled out to 3.5 clients what would happen?
Assuming the overall krb5.conf structure is not affected the non-existing settings would have no effect on the client. Authentication Services will ignore them and continue processing.
1 - To check the health of Authentication Services do the following command and look for errors:
/opt/quest/bin/vastool status
2 - Search our Knowledge Base on the Support Portal (http://support.quest.com) for the message you receive for more information on it.
