Offline Password Reset command link does not display without defining a custom name -
Description
When configuring the Offline Password Reset settings using the Password Manager Group Policy template, the Offline Password Reset command link is not displayed unless a custom name is also defined.
Example Configuration:
- The following setting is located under Computer Configuration | Policies | Administrative Templates | One Identity Password Manager | Generic Settings | Offline Password Reset Settings
- The Display the Offline password Reset button (command link) setting is Enabled
In the scenario above, the command link is not displayed at all. The expected behavior is that the link will display with a default language-specific name.

Cause
This issue has been identified as a Product Defect and assigned the Defect ID 270568. -
Resolution
WORKAROUND
Configure the Set custom name for the Offline Password Reset button (command link) in English setting and provide a custom name.
- The following setting is located under Computer Configuration | Policies | Administrative Templates | One Identity Password Manager | Generic Settings | Offline Password Reset Settings
- Ensure the Display the Offline password Reset button (command link) setting is Enabled
- Configure the Set custom name for the Offline Password Reset button (command link) in English setting to the desired name
