Does VDS support LDAP channel bind and LDAP SASL signing? -
Description
In January 2020 Microsoft are releasing a security update to Windows server to enable LDAP channel binding and LDAP SASL signing.
Do these changes impact VDS? -
Resolution
VDS supports these changes at configuration level:LDAP channel Binding: Microsoft default now force it to SSL/TLS or reject.If using Simple authentication in VDS this should upgraded to SSL or SASL
LDAP signing: Microosft default now SASL requires integrity,
If using SASL check “Quality of Protection” (in VDS config under Security) and set it either to Integrity or Negotiate.NOTE: VDS doesn’t support SASL over SSL
