How can I push out a file through VGP?
Start the Group Policy Object Editor, navigate to "Computer Configuration" and select the "Unix Settings" node in the left hand scope view.
Double click "Files" to open the File Policy Properties dialog. Click add, browse to the source file you want to push and then in the Target File Path field, enter the full, absolute path for its destination (in Unix path format). You can assign user/group ownership as well as permissions here.
There is also a feature called dynamic file policy. The GPO pushes out a URI string of a file location, vgptool then will attempt to download that file ( for example, \\host1.example.com\shared\file_1 ).
