CRITICAL: 212 The /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/vas_ident.vdb cache is invalid, integrity_check failed. -
Description
/opt/quest/bin/vastool status performs a test to ensure the file /var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/vas_ident.vdb cache is valid and readable. -
Cause
CAUSE 1:
The QAS Ident database file is corrupt.
CAUSE 2:
VASD binary was renamed in the init.d directory and therefore was not starting up.

Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:1. Stop the vasd daemon/opt/quest/bin/vastool daemon stop vasd2 - Save the corrupt file somewhere to send us:/var/opt/quest/vas/vasd/vas_ident.bad3 - The do a rejoin vastool -u <adadmin> join -f <yourdomain.com>4 - /opt/quest/bin/vastool statusIf the issue returns, please open up a Service Request with Technical support and include the error, the data from running /opt/quest/libexec/vas/scripts/vas_snapshot.sh script and a copy of the corrupted file renamed and zipped.RESOLUTION 2:1 - Renamed the binary back to correct name2 - Started vasd service3 - Rejoined the computer to the domain.
