The perl executable is not installed or can't be found because it is installed in a non-standard location.

Find the perl interpreter by running following command:

# which perl
/usr/local/bin/perl

If no perl interpreter is installed, then install the most recent one. If it is installed in a non-standard location, as in the example above, then create a link from the the existing perl path to the standard one:

# ln -s /usr/local/bin/perl /usr/bin/perl
