Description
The following error message appears in the vastool status output when using Authentication Services 4.1.7:
INFO: 629 pam_localuser found in pam configuration, this might prevent QAS users from logging in -
Cause
The 'vastool status' script has identified an entry in the pam configuration files that contains the pam_localuser.so option. -
Resolution
This is just an informational message.
Check where the pam_localuser entry exists and if it is set to sufficient.
For example on Linux:cd /etc/pam.dgrep pam_localuser *
If this is configured as 'sufficient' then it can be safely ignored as it will not prevent any logon.E.g:------------------------------------------------------------------account sufficient pam_localuser.so------------------------------------------------------------------
