User is unable to delegate approval task, as the delegation prompt is empty/blank (no users listed) (4276589)

You may have noticed after configuring an approval workflow, that a standard AD user is unable to delegate the approval task, as the delegation prompt come up empty/blank (no users listed). Meaning they are unable to perform the delegation as no users can be selected from the delegation prompt.

This is by design. Active Roles does not have the capability of granting temporary permissions (external to the workflow, i.e. list objects) to its approvers. 

WORKAROUND

Grant appropriate permissions to the approvers in question. I.e. apply ‘Users – List’ Access Template to the AD node or to the location where the other user objects are nested.
