After Updating Template in Hyper-v 2012 r2 new VDIs are not gettng IP addresses. (4282124)

After updating the master template in Hyper-v 2012 r2 the following error is seen:

"Virtualization Management Server Reported no IP address for computer, Retry will occur automatically if necessary."

On checking the hardware settings on the newly created VDIs, the NIC is not connected to a network and the Video Adapter and Memory settings are not correct.

When using the "Update" option in the template screen of the "Add Computers" wizard, the hardware settings are not correctly updated.

Instead of using the "Update" option, remove template and use "Import" to bring in the updated template with the correct hardware settings.
