How to configure users to use external LDAP for Primary authentication.
LDAP Authentication
TPAM supports UNIX or Windows LDAP environments. Configuring LDAP for authentication is a simple process.
To configure LDAP select System Status/Settings - External Authentication - LDAP Config from the menu. You have the ability to configure more than one LDAP system if required.
Once this initial step is done, an administrator would be required to configure on a per user basis the Primary Authentication method for the users.
To configure LDAP for Primary Authentiaction for a User in /tpam select Users & Groups- User IDs - Manage UserIDs - Listing - Select a User - Details Tab - Under the User Authentication section the Primary dropdown box can be changed to LDAP and the Source / UserID information would need to be populated, along with the Full Primary UserID, the help bubble displays more information if required.
