Description
When applying an upgrade to a replica (version 2.5.917 through 2.5.920) a warning can be seen in the Replica Patch Log: "IMPORTANT - If Authoritative Primary is transferred to this Replica appliance, then this upgrade patch needs to be applied again after this appliance is the new Primary appliance. This is necessary to ensure certain upgrade actions that cannot be performed on a replica get applied." This warning is removed after 2.5.921. -
Cause
The warning was added to ensure that time was allowed for the added managed systems and accounts for DPAs and Cache Servers. -
Resolution
The message was removed in 2.5.921 because 2.5.920 is required to be present before upgrading to 2.5.921. If 2.5.920 is present on a Replica appliance, then the added managed systems and accounts are already added.
