no sites configured and the machine was going to a DC in another country with a slow link

Resolution
RESOLUTION 1:
1. vastool join {DOMAIN_NAME.EN} [{SERVER_FQDN.EN} {SERVER_FQDN.EN} {SERVER_FQDN.EN} ..]
Note it is just a space between server names.While joining the machine to the domain, make sure that all the servers are specified (in order of preference).RESOLUTION 2:Post-install, you can configure the realm with all the server names by doing the following command:
1 . vastool configure extra-realm {DOMAIN_NAME.EN} [{SERVER_FQDN.EN} {SERVER_FQDN.EN} {SERVER_FQDN.EN} ..]
