TPAM reports a Password mismatch error after a successful managed account password change for Nokia IPSO v4.2 firewall.
Example sequence of events:
‘Test System’ button confirms the Nokia functional account can successfully communicate with Nokia IPSO firewall (v4.2)
Managed user account is added to TPAM and the current password matches the users account password on the Nokia IPSO firewall (v4.2)
‘Check Password’ button confirms the password matches for the managed Nokia account
‘Reset password’ button confirms the password has been successfully changed for the managed Nokia account
‘Check password’ button – Password does not match
The Nokia IPSO firewall (v4.2) managed user account current password contained a non-alphanumeric character are not supported by the Nokia IPSO (v4.2) firewall for password changes purposes.
1. Modify the current password on the Nokia IPSO firewall (v4.2) such that it does not contain any non-alphanumeric characters, for example exclamation mark “!”
2. Update the appropriate TPAM managed account with the new password
3. Verify the TPAM password policy rules for all Nokia IPSO (v4.2) firewalls only contain uppercase, lowercase and a numeric characters for all newly generated passwords
