Description
Active Roles Add-on Manager does not appear in the Active Roles MMC Console after installation. The Applications container when expanded does not display the Add-on Manager.

Cause
The Active Roles Service account should be used to install the Add-on Manager when installing any Add-ons for Active Roles. The permissions for a user account may not meet the requirements to properly configure and register the Add-on with the Active Roles Configuration Database. -
Resolution
SOLUTION
- Log in to the Active Roles Server host as the Active Roles Service account
- Open the Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features
- Uninstall the Active Roles Add-on Manager
- Right-click the Add-on Manager installation file and select the Run As Administrator to re-install the Active Roles Add-on Manager
- If the Active Roles MMC Console is already open perform a re-connect to refresh the console view, otherwise launch the Active Roles MMC Console, and expand the Applications container
- Verify that the Add-on Manager is now visible
