Generate Password button is greyed out for new user object creation (4300223)

When creating a new user, the button to generate password is greyed out in the Active Roles MMC console, and Web Interface.

SOLUTION

In the Active Roles MMC Console perform the following actions:

1. Expand Configuration | Policies | Administration, and select Builtin
2. Right click Built-in Policy - Password Generation, and select Policy Scope
3. If there is nothing showing for the Scope of the Policy Object select Add...
4. Select what to include in the scope for the policy as this can be done at the Active Directory, Domain, or at a specific OU
5. Once the scope is added select OK to commit the changes
6. Create a new user in the location that was scoped for the Password Generation policy
7. The Password Generation button should now be available
