HOW TO: Convert a Dynamic Group to a Basic Group -
Description
It may be a requirement to convert a Dynamic Group back to a Basic Group within Active Roles. -
Resolution
Navigate to the Dynamic Group that will be converted back to a basic group.
NOTE: The following steps will remove all Membership Rules that have been defined for the Dynamic Group and any users, groups, or other objects will be removed from the Dynamic Group Membership once these steps are done.
- Open the Active Roles Administration MMC Console
- Right-click the Dynamic Group and select the Convert to Basic Group option from the menu
- The group should now be a Basic Group
