After launching a PSM session to a Windows 2012 or Windows 8 (or above) system and using it for a few minutes the mouse cursor may disappear or be corrupted. It may also change to an unexpected cursor, such as a 'hand' cursor, i-beam and not transition correctly to the different icons.
WORKAROUND
Disable the mouse pointer shadow for the account on the target PSM system.
This can be done from the Control Panel | Mouse settings | Select the "Pointers" tab | Ensure "Enable Pointer Shadow" is not selected.
Alternatively this can be done via a registry modification. This option is part of a bit mask, further information on the required masking may be found at https://technet.microsoft.com/library/cc957204.
After the registry change is made the user would need to log off and log back on, or restart the computer to apply the changes.
