Description
Connecting to Amazon Web Services (AWS) from Safeguard returns the following error:Transport reported error: Failed to verify SSL cert with subject: CN=iam.amazonaws.com <http://iam.amazonaws.com>, issuer:CN=Amazon, OU=Server CA 1B, O=Amazon, C=US, thumbprint:788A485E434E9AC9C2DB39899DF856FFCCE9A7BB; Chain error:{PartialChain} {A certificate chain could not be built to a trusted root authority.} .

Cause
Amazon root and intermediate certificates must be added to the Safeguard trusted certificate store for the Safeguard platform tasks (Test Connection, Check Connection, and Change Password) to run properly. -
Resolution
- Download the Amazon Root and Intermediate certificates
Navigate to https://www.amazontrust.com/repository and download the required certificates (Root CA and Other CA) in .der format.
- Add Certificate to Safeguard's Trusted Certificate Store.
In Settings, select Certificates | Trusted Certificates.
Click (or tap) + Add Certificate from the details toolbar.
Browse to select the Amazon Certificate file.
Click (or tap) Open to add the selected certificate file to Safeguard.
