As of January 1, 2016 the following error is displayed within the One Identity Quick Connect for Cloud Services console:
"Cannot connect using specified connection settings"
"remote name could not be resolved 'www.salesforce.com'"
(Note: Customers connecting to the Salesforce testing environment i.e., Salesforce Sandbox are not impacted with this issue.)
As of January 1st 2016, Salesforce will be retiring the URL of: www.salesforce.com as an API endpoint. This endpoint URL is the method by which 3rd party applications connect and interact with Salesforce. The new API endpoint is login.salesforce.com
This change renders all 3rd party API login attempts invalid, and results in a complete loss of functionality.
Please download the hotfix by clicking here.
Once the hotfix is installed the One Identity Quick Connect for Cloud Service Salesforce connector will start utilizing the correct 3rd party Salesforce API, i.e. https://login.salesforce.com/services/Soap/u/19.0. It is suggested to install the hotfix as soon as possible to ensure proper functinoality before the January 1, 2016 deadline.
