How to create an SAP Trace Log (4322719)

When troubleshooting SAP Synchronization issues in Identity Manager, Support may request an SAP Trace log. What are the steps to create an SAP Trace Log?

The RFC Trace is used to monitor interaction with SAP and to troubleshoot issues. 

To Enable SAP Trace

1. On the Job Server that processes SAP processes, open the "Environment Variables"
2. Create the following two System variables:
   1. RFC_TRACE and set it to 1
   2. RFC_TRACE_DIR and set it to a logging folder such as C:\LogDir
3. Click "OK" to close the Environment Variables pop-up.

NOTE: The SAP .NET connector may create additional files (Example: co_rfc_%pid%.trc) in the Job Service installation folder.
