Software tokens cannot be requested through the Defender Management Portal and a dialog box appears stating “You do not have sufficient permissions to request a software token. Please contact your system administrator”
The user is not a member of the AD (Active Directory) group that has been given permission to request tokens.
Use the Permissions area in the Defender Management Portal | Self-Service Settings to configure a list of Active Directory groups whose members are allowed to request software tokens and register hardware tokens.
Only users who are members of the group(s) specified may request tokens.
