HOW TO: Temporarily pause all Active Roles Dynamic Group functionality -
Description
While on-boarding, migrating, or bulk-creating objects in Active Roles, it may be desired to temporarily stop or pause all Dynamic Group functionality so that the automated processes complete more quickly. -
Resolution
In the Active Roles Console, as an Active Roles Admin, remove any scopes set on the Dynamic Group policy.
By default, this policy is located at Configuration | Policies | Administration | Builtin | Built-in Policy - Dynamic Groups
After the automation is complete, re-add the scope to the Dynamic Group policy.
The next time that the Dynamic Group Checker scheduled task runs, it will flag any inconsistent Dynamic Groups to be rebuilt by the Dynamic Group Updater
