In an Exchange Resource Forest Management configuration, it is possible to have the Resource Forest configured with remote mailboxes. In this scenario, Microsoft recommends creating a local mailbox and then migrating it to a remote mailbox by modifying several attributes, including msExchRecipientTypeDetails
This attribute must be set to a value of 2147483648 for a remote mailbox.
In Active Roles 7.x, when setting this attribute to this value via any Active Roles client or process on the disabled account in the Resource Forest, the master account in the User Forest ends up in a broken state: Microsoft Exchange tabs are all missing, Microsoft Exchange tasks are missing, and the User's email address is missing within Active Roles.
Setting this attribute back to a value of 2, for a local linked mailbox, restores the missing Microsoft Exchange information.
The missing data is all present and visible in both ActiveRoles Server 6.x and Active Directory Users and Computers.
WORKAROUND
None.
STATUS
Waiting for fix in a future release of Active Roles.
