Description
Connection to SAP fails with the following message:
"RFC: SAP.Middleware.Connector.RfcInvalidParameterException: Element EX_FUNCTIONS of container metadata RFC_METADATA_GET unknown" -
Cause
This is due to the version of the SAP .NET Connector 3 (NCo). At least version 3.0.24 must be installed. Check the release notes of the Identity Manager version installed to confirm the version of the SAP .NET connector that is required.

Resolution
The SAP .NET Connector needs to be installed on all clients and jobservers involved in the processing of SAP requests from Identity Manager (1IM) to SAP.
Install the new version somewhere, but don't select the option to install to global assembly cache because the dlls need to be visible.
Then take backups of the old dlls in all SAP job service installation folders and replace with the newer ones. This can be done manually or using the Software Loader.
