New License requirement in One Identity Defender 6.6 -
Description
Defender now uses the One Identity branded version of License Validator (OID LV) for generating and validating licenses exclusively for One Identity products.
NOTE: This new version is not backward compatible with the previous Quest license version and requires new OID LV license keys for upgrades to Defender v6.6.0 or later
Without the new license added, Defender will show a dialog message that a new license is required and the Defender admin cannot create or assign new tokens to users until the new license is added. Existing tokens will continue to function and authentication is not affected by this change.

Resolution
You may use the self service option in the One Identity support portal to upgrade your license using the steps here
If you need additional help with your license upgrade, please submit a request using the licensing assistance form here
Once you have received the new license, you can apply it after the upgrade via the Defender Admin Console (ADUC) using the steps below:
- Click on Defender OU > Select Defender Menu > Select License... > Add License... > Copy and Paste the License Key and click OK
Note: Make sure there are no trail spaces before or after the license key.
