When a user attempts to log in, they are required to enter their username and password twice.
On the first attempt, after entering credentials, the login page simply reloads without granting access. On the second attempt, the user is able to log in successfully and access SPP as expected.
The issue was caused by a bookmark that was saved with the entire HTTPS string and not only the appliance FQDN/IP.
Typing the URL into the browser addresses the issue.
